After exchanging emails, I met Kim & Jeremy in a local coffee shop to chat about wedding plans, and we hit it off instantly. I LOVED their story….they actually had already been married for about a year, but they still wanted the ceremony, white dress and all, to celebrate with all of their loved ones. 2 hours and a couple of lattes later, I knew they were truly one of the sweetest couples I had ever met & I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding! Kim and Jeremy were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony among the pine trees in their own gorgeous back-yard surrounded by a few of their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, we headed downtown Grand Rapids for some fun shots and then off to their amazing cocktail party reception at Eve Lounge . Everything was absolutely perfect! I am truly honored to have been able to be such an important part of their day! Check out my faves:

wow, the flowers–what gorgeous color! [...] something FAB-U-LOUS in the mail! I’ve been published!!!!!!!!! yay!Its so exciting to have Theresa & Craig’s amazing wedding featured in the Spring/Summer 2011 the Knot Michigan Magazine!!! Now I can finally [...] 2009 was one of the absolute craziest years of my life. Somewhere in the middle of trying to maintain a successful business, saying goodbye to 3 grandparents and welcoming child #3, I was really struck by a desperate need to find balance. I had to step back and take a hard look at where I was and where I wanted to be and somehow find a way to make it all work. I’m not gonna lie…I hit up Google more than once…wasn’t there a spreadsheet out there somewhere that could magically figure out my life? Its been quite a roller coaster, but I am so excited to start a new year with a clearer picture of my goals and how to achieve them….so I’m jumping on the New Year’s bandwagon and making some resolutions….I have a great feeling about 2010! Here’s my Top 10 goals for the year: 1. Blog More! 2. Create a realistic schedule for my life that allows time for my kids, my clients, my hubby and myself ( is this even possible?) 3. At least 20 mins on the Wii Fit daily 4. Simplify by scaling down on STUFF in our house…where does it all come from! 5. Eat healthier….no more standing in the kitchen snacking on junk food because I forgot to eat lunch! 6. Be more positive, thankful, thoughtful and encouraging 7. Have more date nights with Drew…so far our average is only 2 times a year 8. Create a budget for our household using a cash system 9. Take a Ballroom Dancing class with Drew 10. Take more pictures of my own kids….I know ya’ll wanna see their sweet little faces! And because every blog post should have pretty pictures….here’s some eye candy from my recent senior session with Lizz…isn’t she a cutie?!!!

You have a great plan and this year you will be even more fabulous than last, I just know it! At some point in a little girl’s life she will daydream about being a princess & having a fairytale wedding. For Lindsy & Derrick this wasn’t just a dream…. They were married at Castle Farms in beautiful Charlevoix, MI surrounded by tons of friends and family—it couldn’t have been more perfect (even if it hadn’t rained!) The details were breathtaking with bold splashes of oranges and greens and luckily it stopped drizzling long enough to take advantage of the gorgeous castle grounds for some pictures. (p.s. I LOVE the giant chess board!!) I was fortunate enough to also have my fabulous buddy Kelly B along to capture this amazing day too, I feel so blessed to have such a fun job and such fantastic friends! Here are some of my faves:
